We were both born in Lima, Peru. Carmen is an elementary teacher and Rudy an electronic technician. We are both working now for Agapè Catholic Ministries as Instructors for the Pre Cana Course and enjoying it very much. Carmen also works as the Office Manager as well as a tutor for the Quinceañeras program.
We have no children but have been blessed with a wonderful and happy marriage. Not having children has been something difficult to deal with and maybe the biggest struggle in our marriage but have come to accept it as God’s will.
We were both raised in the Catholic faith and were active members in our Parish (in Lima-Peru) through different youth groups and ministries. We met at school but fell in love while serving at church. Since we got married, in 1993, we made an important decision: have the Lord dwell in our hearts and lead our lives. And there is no regret about it!
We moved to the USA in 2002 because of Carmen participating in a cultural exchange program for international teachers. We lived 3 years in North Carolina and then, moved to Colorado to establish our residency in the beautiful Colorado Springs.
We enjoy spending time and doing things together, especially serving at our local parish in different ministries. We would say this is one of the keys for couples who want to have a “forever and successful marriage”. We love travelling, listening to music, serving at church, hanging out with friends, and enjoying life the best way we can.

Ambos nacimos en Lima, Perú. Carmen es maestra de la escuela elemental y Rudy, técnico electrónico. En la actualidad, trabajamos para Agapè Catholic Ministries como instructores del Curso Pre Cana y lo disfrutamos mucho. Carmen también trabajo como administradora de la oficina y tutora para el Programa de Quinceañeras. No tenemos hijos pero hemos sido bendecidos con un matrimonio maravilloso y feliz. El no tener hijos no ha sido facil y tal vez sea la mayor dificultad que nos ha tocado afrontar como matrimonio, pero hemos llegado a aceptarlo como la voluntad de Dios. Ambos crecimos en la fe Católica y fuimos miembros activos en nuestra Parroquia (en Lima-Perú) a través de diferentes grupos juveniles y ministerios. Nos conocimos en la escuela pero nos enamoramos cuando servíamos en la iglesia. Desde que nos casamos en 1993, tomamos la importante decisión de que Dios viva en nuestros corazones y conduzca nuestras vidas. ¡No lamentamos esta decisión!
Nos mudamos a los EEUU en el 2002 pues Carmen estaba participando en un programa de intercambio para maestros internacionales. Vivimos 3 años en Carolina del Norte y luego, nos mudamos a Colorado, estableciendo nuestra residencia en la bella ciudad de Colorado Springs.
Disfrutamos pasando tiempo y haciendo cosas juntos, especialmente sirviendo en nuestra parroquia en diferentes ministerios. Diríamos que ésta es una de las claves del éxito para las parejas que quieren tener un “matrimonio exitoso y para toda la vida”. Nos encanta viajar, escuchar música, servir en la iglesia, reunirnos con amigos y disfrutar la vida de la mejor manera posible.
