Marriage is a journey, not a destination...

Love becomes a triumph

Below is the incredibly touching testimonial of a young French lady who, with her fiancé, chose abstinence until their wedding.

It didn't come naturally to her, though. After high-school, she had fallen into prostitution to make ends meet. She had been raped several times and was living with her boyfriend, soon to be fiancé.

Chastity Is For Everyone (Even Married People!)

2017-02-25-07-13-01-900x601

One of the highlights of my summer was going to a Mass of Consecration for a Virgin. My friend from college, Andrea, was making her vows as a consecrated single. Dear Ron,

We married in August 1999, both aged 20, we dated two years before marriage. Tom is a cradle Catholic, Anna raised Lutheran. Not much premarital counseling due to our mixed faith marriage. In year five of marriage, we vacationed with Anna's two girlfriends to Maui. At the time, they were both single. We brought our 15-month-old with us.

Marriage Doubts

Hi Ron,

My name is Sarah and I am getting married in a few months.
Recently I have been having many doubts about getting married, and I can't tell if I am just nervous and scared, or really should not marry this person.
We met in college and dated for 4 years before getting engaged over a year ago.
One of the major doubts I'm having is I feel like we are not on the same page sexually.

Wow!!!  Yes, that is the correct word to begin this blog post!  I think I am still in shock!  On the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus our country just experienced the overturning of an almost 50-year-old law regarding abortion.  Roe vs. Wade was overturned!

If you’ve ever had to deal with a child who is devastated and in tears because of a disappointment or setback they have had to suffer, you know how hard it can be not to find it even slightly amusing, or be overwhelmingly tempted to patronise and pretend that the whole thing really isn’t that important and will blow over.
