January 25th, Patrick and Sooyoung, Galveston-Houston, TX: “I was able to deepen my faith as well as explore our faith as a couple”
Him: It was a great opportunity to learn more about God and marriage. I was very pleased with the prompt and very detailed responses.
Her: I was able to deepen my faith as well as explore our faith as a couple. Even though it was an urgent care course, it made us think a lot about marriage and learn a lot.
Both: We had to communicate a lot to answer all the assignments which led us understand each better.
January 26th, Antonio and Nicole, Greensburg, PA: “It seems easy to understand the teachings from these lessons but they are put into perspective when there are people who have truly lived them.”
Him: This class really allowed Nicole and I to discuss things in a way we have not before. We have realized the importance of God. Karen and Deano were so insightful. Their honestly and feedback to our answers really opened our eyes to how we look at this sacrament, our family and our life together.
Her: We appreciated how open our instructors were about their own personal life experiences. It seems easy to understand the teachings from these lessons but they are put into perspective when there are people who have truly lived them.
Both: We plan on being regular church goers. We also plan on giving to the church and charities even more so that we currently do. we hope to participate in our new church once we move to a new community.
January 27th, Keon and Brenna, Seattle WA: “I feel much more grounded and prepared and have a much greater appreciation for the beauty and importance of marriage.”
Him: I really enjoyed taking the time to go through all that we did. Each lesson had its own focus and to be able to thoroughly go through them made me feel much closer to Brenna and God. I always looked forward to talking with Brenna about what our faith had laid out for us.
Her: I absolutely loved it! I think that the lessons and tools it teaches you are so valuable and will really be helpful in our marriage. I feel much more grounded and prepared and have a much greater appreciation for the beauty and importance of marriage. Thank you!
Both: It really allowed us to listen to each other and understand where each other was at in our faith journey. It allowed us to discuss religious topics and realize how similar our beliefs and morals are. It gave us the opportunity to grow closer through prayer.
January 28th, Lucas and Christina, Denver, CO: “Luke and I did a lot of learning, talking, laughing, even some tears."
Him: For our schedules, this was a great way to do our preparation. I appreciate the time given to prepare as well, doing it at our self-paced schedule helped. Some of the questions really got Christy and I talking.
Her: I enjoyed this preparation! Luke and I did a lot of learning, talking, laughing, even some tears. It really helped to do this online, so we could work at our own pace.
Both: Thank you for the thoughtful responses on our answer keys. Also, we appreciate your quick turn around time -- seeing your email the next day was always exciting throughout the entire course! God Bless you both!
January 29th, Gustavo and Paulina, Puerto Rico: "Through this course I've become reconnected with God and my spirituality."
Him: I loved how flexible this was. We have such busy and irregular schedules that this fit into our lives perfectly. I studied with the Jesuits priests my whole life so I have questioned religion many times. This was a nice way to reconnect with my spirituality.
Her: Being so busy with day to day stuff, I used to forget to pray. Through this course I've become reconnected with God and my spirituality.
Both: We live in two different places so it was hard to go to a course in person. We loved that it was online, we could do it when we wanted to and we really liked that it was updated to modern life.
